Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

The service at recipefromphoto.com is provided by CHENG MING TRADING LIMITED, a company registered in Hong Kong SAR, with its registered office at RM 502C, 5/F, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2-16 Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Customer service email: [email protected].

2. The service

RecipeFromPhoto recognises ingredients in photos you upload and generates recipe suggestions with an AI model. Output is a suggestion, not professional nutritional or medical advice.

3. Accounts

You may try the service without an account at a reduced daily limit. To save history and favourites you register with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are Pro ($7.99 per month or $59 per year) and Unlimited ($149 per year). Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the term you already paid for.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• We may change prices. Changes apply from your next renewal and we tell you before that renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos you have no right to use, or images of other people without their consent.
• Use the service to produce unlawful, harmful or deceptive content.
• Scrape, resell or redistribute the service or its output as a competing product.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, probe our systems, or interfere with other users.

6. Food safety

Recipes are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a chef, dietitian or doctor. You remain responsible for checking that ingredients are fresh, safe, correctly cooked, and compatible with your allergies and health conditions. Never rely on an allergen filter alone.

7. Your content and ours

You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You grant us the limited right to process them to run the scan and generate your recipes. Photos are processed for the scan and are not used to train models. The site, its design, code and brand remain ours.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend or stop features, and we will give reasonable notice before removing a feature that paid plans depend on.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of your current term.

10. Liability

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of Hong Kong SAR have jurisdiction, without removing any protection the law of your own country of residence gives you as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes are announced on the site before they take effect. Questions: [email protected].
